Blaž has been dancing since the age of 7. Throughout his life dancing has always been an important way of his artistic expression. He has been practising different dance techniques – jazz ballet, step, flamenco etc. He has been competing in Latin and Ballroom dances for many year.

In 1996 he has been introduced to argentine tango. He and her dance partner Andreja started to search for the knowledge of tango, the history, the music and the dance. Their first teachers in Buenos Aires were Aurora and Jorge Firpo.

During their many stays in Buenos Aires, Blaž and Andreja have worked with different maestros who gave them a wonderful view into the richness of tango as a dance and also insights into its rich tradition.

Blaž has been performing and thus promoting argentine tango in Slovenia and also internationally – he has been performing in Europe (Italy, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Greece, Turkey, France, Poland) and also China, South Africa and USA.

He has choreographed many performances (see Works) and received the National Dance Award „Povodni mož“ for choreographies in the performance „Tango Prohibido“ in 2001.

He has been teaching tango with her partner Andreja since 2005. They have regular classes in Ljubljana (Studio BA Tango) and have also been teaching internationally (Croatia, Serbia, Austria, South Africa)
